Senior Engineering Manager, Dashboards Team

Job Description

• Lead development teams building dashboards and log queries for Sumo customers to gain health and security insights on their infrastructure • Provide technical oversight for the team ensuring best practices are followed and elegant solutions are pursued and delivered • Provide mentorship enabling continued career growth for team members • Define and execute the roadmap by collaborating with partners in Product, Design, and Operations • Maintain development roadmaps, lead the agile development practices, and ensure the team's performance is world class

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or a related discipline • 8+ yrs developer + manager experience combined.... with 5+ yrs experience managing/leading development team(s) • Experience developing full-stack web solutions using Java, Scala, Golang or other similar frameworks • Experience building large-scale single page web applications using Javascript/Typescript and React • Working knowledge of Microservice architectures / distributed systems (AWS experience is a plus) • Deep knowledge of the Web as a platform • Ability to work through ambiguous requirements and make decisions to push forward and remove obstacles that prevent teams from achieving their goals • Highly organized • Master of Agile processes, continuous integration, and test automation • Clear communication skills
