Chassis and Packaging Integration Engineer

Job Description

• Responsible for the design and development of Chassis structural parts and assemblies • Lead cross-functional packaging design teams • Provide direction to others and negotiate solutions • Meet program timing, budget constraints, and achieve vehicle packaging targets • Manage suppliers to deliver component designs on time • Create and track DVP&R, DFMEA, Tolerance Stackups, Design Concepts, and Functional Safety for Chassis components • Create detailed drawings of parts and assemblies

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineer with 3+ years of experience designing body or chassis structures at an OEM or supplier • 3+ years of CATIA (V6 preferred) • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and joining applicable for body structures and chassis • Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack up analysis, mechanical stress analysis, and product lifecycle management • Experienced with product launch • Capable of working well in a fast-paced environment and desire to be hands-on
