Tech Lead Manager, Platform

Job Description

• Lead & manage a team to build Knot’s novel merchant connectivity platform, the backbone for all user-facing products. • Work closely with the team’s product lead to deliver on an ever-evolving product roadmap and develop processes that make the team successful. • Be accountable for making and delivering on team commitments, as well as pivoting when necessary in order to keep the team focused on the most impactful work. • Foster a culture of deep care for industry-leading performance and scalability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing one or more engineering teams • Track record of shipping high-quality code with proficiency in Node/Typescript, Python, and CloudSQL (or similar relational database). • Excited to work with the product team on high level team direction, as well as dive into the details of individual problems on a day-to-day basis. • Ability to tailor your management style to suit your team’s needs, identifying where some people might succeed with a more hands-off approach than others. • Expert communication and ability to collaborate seamlessly with product teams. • Experience with backend web scraping a major plus.
