Team Lead, Sales Development
Job Location: Bay Area, California
Job Description
• Leads a team of 5-14 Sales Development Representatives, driving overachievement of pipeline generation goals with coaching, performance management, engagement, and career development. • Trains and develops Sales Development Representatives to identify, contact, and validate qualified opportunities. • Work closely with demand gen team in marketing to provide feedback on MQOs and campaigns. Establish and build strong and profitable relationships with other demand gen channels • Fosters collaboration (Work closely) with sales and other members of SDR Leadership to improve opportunity management and qualification processes. • Work closely with Sales and SDR Director to identify areas of improvement for the SDR Teams. (analyzes data and metrics to drive performance improvements) • Work in collaboration with marketing managers and product marketing to develop effective messaging to convert inbound interest and outbound leads into qualified pipeline. • Work closely with Sales Leaders to identify and grow net new business in assigned areas for prospecting. • Nurtures a positive team environment, in alignment with Veeam’s Core Values. • Manages team performance against pipeline generation quotas, executes operating plans and ensures sales objectives are met. • Drives top of funnel revenue and contributes to the continued growth of Veeam through consistently achieving individual and team quotas. • Monitors daily activity of sales development representatives; including sales activities and use of Veeam’s CRM (Salesforce.com). • Drives metrics to measure performance of the sales development activities; corrects deficiencies where necessary
Qualifications
• 3+ years of inside sales management or supervisory experience; telephone and internet based sales experience required • Bachelor’s Degree (a combination of education and experience will be considered) • Demonstrated ability to build, coach and develop sales teams to exceed sales targets and deliver high quality service • Experience with CRM Software (Salesforce preferred), sales operations and/or marketing automation software preferred • Proven track record of driving high volume, transactional sales along with more complex enterprise sales • Ability to work well with all levels of people and teams in a matrix-organization structure • Language requirements based on country’s needs for team assignments.
