Senior Analyst/Associate, Non-Bank Financial Institutions Ratings (NY)

Job Description

• Analyze financial statements of non-bank finance companies including various types of commercial and consumer finance companies and equipment leasing companies • Prepare committee memos, research reports, and supporting analytical materials and assist senior analysts in rating process and research efforts • Present rating recommendations in rating committees and participate in external management meetings and investor calls • Monitor portfolio of finance companies for significant developments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required • 2+ years of work experience in a financial analysis role within financial services or rating agency • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and Excel skills • Attention to details • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a challenging and dynamic environment • Strong interest and/or relevant experience in ratings and/or financial sector transactions • CFA and knowledge of Bloomberg considered positively
