Sr. Staff Software Engineer, Backend

Job Description

• Implement the UI backend and ML APIs integration into Illumio Products (Core & CloudSecure) to render ML features • Design and develop scalable infrastructure to support the training, evaluation, and deployment of machine learning models • Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to integrate backend systems with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn • Design and implement APIs for serving ML models, ensuring efficient response times and scalability • Manage databases that store model parameters, metadata, training data, and logs • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to track model performance, system health, and resource utilization in real-time • Proactively contribute to cultivating a new team and product domain, offering strategic impetus shaping the roadmap and vision for the product

Qualifications

• Proficiency in GoLang or Python for backend development is preferred • Experience in designing and developing scalable API solutions • Knowledge in tools and platforms for service monitoring, alerting, and maintenance • Experience with integrating vector databases and past experience in supporting ML-specific cloud services within Azure ecosystem is a plus
