Component Test Engineer

Job Description

• Work closely with product teams to write Design Validation Plans and develop the required infrastructure to execute testing requirements • Develop test software for executing and automating test-cases using a combination of off-the-shelf and in-house developed tools. • Participate in the development of component requirements to ensure vehicle performance targets are met • Author test cases to validate component performance against requirements • Specify requirements for Design Validation Plan test procedures, including instrumentation, data acquisition, and post processing methods. • Document test results using a standard reporting format and support issue resolution • Troubleshoot hardware test systems and Vehicle ECUs using common mechanical and electrical tools

Qualifications

• Experience developing custom test software with LabView • Experience using CANape, CANalyzer, to work with CAN and LIN networks • Experience with instrumentation, including thermocouples, flowmeters, pressure transducers, strain gauges, and accelerometers • Experience using JIRA for issue tracking and work management • Proficiency with source control tools such as git or svn is a plus • Proficiency in Python, python libraries • Proficiency with Automotive HVAC and vapor-compression cycles is a plus
