IT Systems Administrator (New York)

Job Description

• Configuring and triaging physical and virtual networks, switches, access points (APs), firewalls, and VPN Solutions • Installing, tracking, and maintaining software and applications on company machines using JAMF • Deploying solutions for the administration of Mac and Linux computers, including upgrades and maintenance • Tracking assets, responding to device loss, and ordering new devices as needed • Performing hardware and network maintenance and upgrades in the office • Setting up new accounts, laptops, and desktops for new hires, and handling off-boarding for departing employees • Providing technical support to end-users and resolving IT-related issues in a timely manner • Conducting security tutorials for team members to promote awareness and best practices • Documenting system configurations, procedures, and best practices • Managing vendor relationships and coordinating support as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunication, and Networks or related field • Proven experience as a system administrator and network administrator • Strong understanding of networking principles and technologies • 2+ years of system administration experience preferred • Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment • Preferred completion of JAMF 100 course
