Head of Sales
Job Location: Manhattan, New York
Salary: $225,000 - $250,000 a year
Job Description
• The SVP, of Sales is a dedicated sales leader focused on business within the U.S., responsible for managing BuzzFeed's sales footprint and top domestic clients and agency relationships. You will be based in our LA or NYC Headquarters and report to our CBO. • Lead U.S. team of sellers, tasked with empowering the largest marketers and agencies to connect and engage with the people who matter to them most • Meet assigned targets for net sales, market share, contribution margin, and other strategic performance objectives. • Grow C-level and SVP-level relationships with clients and agency leaders with a focus on driving investment, insight, and innovation • Establish an external presence as a vocal and visible face of BuzzFeed Inc. at industry events, and conferences and be a member of industry boards • Partner with Marketing to evolve our compelling GTM narrative and client experiences • Lead budget forecasting, goal-setting for domestic markets, management of OKRs on a quarterly basis, and account plans for clients through partnership with Operations • Partner with Product team to innovate our offerings to meet market demand • Work with Research & Insights to prove the effectiveness of BuzzFeed solutions and identify measurement solutions based on client needs • Be a liaison on behalf of the Sales organization to establish and maintain internal relationships with decision-makers across BuzzFeed • Package and grow strategic partnerships across multi-disciplinary buying categories specifically in Programmatic, Affiliate, and Custom Content
Qualifications
• 12+ years of combined experience in sales management, marketing, digital, strategy development, and/or consultancy and experience leading a team and managing the work of others • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant experience • Understanding of the advertising/media landscape with an emphasis on being a programmatic, ad tech, and digital platform expert • Fanatic for quality and delivering top-notch results; ability to contribute both strategically and tactically • Management and leadership skills with experience motivating, leading, and building teams • Results-based, action-oriented problem solver; comfortable in a highly dynamic business environment where quick decision-making is crucial • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to establish partnerships across many constituencies and influencers • Ability to think strategically and consider longer-term impacts • Ability to travel over 50% of the time to all markets for internal and external purposes
