Staff Accountant

Job Description

• Manage company Sales Tax and VAT reporting and reconciliation working with our tax partners in the EMEA and North America • Active role in monthly close process including maintenance of the general ledger by creating & reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses. • Work closely with outsourced accountants in EMEA & APAC to maintain the books for the subsidiaries. • Assist with ad hoc projects and prepare responses to various requests for information • Document business process & drive continual process improvement leveraging best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree • 4+ Years Accounting Experience - General Ledger, Journal Entries, Accruals, GL Account reconciliations, sales and use tax, assist with month-end entries & closing. • 2+ Experience with Indirect Tax in the US & Europe • Strong Excel skill and experience working with large sets of data • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy • Ability to learn fast. • Solid understanding of US generally accepted accounting principles • Experience working in NetSuite ERP system • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines • Effective written and oral communication skills • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills • Exhibit a positive attitude and enjoy working in a collaborative fast-paced environment
