AVP, Quantitative Analyst

Job Description

• Sector Analytics team works with different portfolio management teams • Provide analytical and quantitative solutions to investment and asset management • Build, enhance, and support the next generation of asset modeling and analytics platforms built on AWS • This position will be in our New York office

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematical Finance, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience • 5+ years (3 years of analyst, and minimum 2 years of associate experience) of experience at financial service firms in a quantitative role • Good knowledge of fixed income instruments, including structured products, whole loans, and other asset types • Experience in insurance regulatory requirements is a plus • Deep understanding of database and able to handle complex query to large data tables • Hands on experiences with various technology platforms and programming languages, such as AWS, distributed computing, and Python • Good problem-solving skills and willing to take initiative to address live investment challenges • Strong communication skills and teamwork experience to work effectively within and across teams
