Associate Designer - LOUNGE
Job Location: Los Angeles, California
Job Description
• Responsible for planning, implementing, directing, and administering all aspects of the human resources function for the Mid-Atlantic Region • Provide day-to-day management of the Employee Relations team
Qualifications
• Experience in technical design, seamless, shapewear, lingerie, and knits • Strong design talent with the ability to understand customer style and designing for margin targets • Strong understanding of garment construction • Possess the ability to sketch and CAD design details and knowledge of garment construction • Exceptional communication and organizational skills • Positive and dependable attitude • Enthusiastic and willing to learn • Flexible and adaptable to a very fast-paced environment • Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. • Effective time management and ability to stay organized is a must • Minimum 2-4 year experience in previous work • Experience in lounge • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator • Advanced visual and written communication skills • Some to advanced knowledge of fabrics, specifically jersey, cotton, and fleece • Degree in Fashion, similar related field • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications & Adobe suite • Proficient knowledge of garment construction and fit

• Stay current on contemporary markets and strong ability to design into trends and target customer needs • Research relevant lifestyle trends, product trends, color trends, fabric trends and new trims & garment details. • Creates and updates tech packs in a timely and accurate manner, responsible for sketch page, construction page, and BOMs from proto to production stages • Presenting concept research and design sketches-based direction from Design Director • Ability to both take direction and take initiative based on calendar needs • Ability to source/request fabric and trims with overseas vendors and work with Product Development manager to insure smooth flow of communication and product tracking • Responsible for setting up all styles in full circle PLM system • Clear communication with cross-functional teams and outside vendors • Works with team to assure that design calendar deadlines are met • Organizing samples, submit binders, and assembling presentation boards as required • Identifies new product opportunities and provides input to the product strategy for the relevant department • Collaborates with other designers within the business area and where relevant across the business to share ideas and identify new opportunities • Develop line sheets including flat sketches in Illustrator • Strong Photoshop skills to recolor prints and create simple graphics • Responsible for fitting garments will clear direction on design intent & tracking fit notes for changes • Assist and receive sample shipments and check-in to system daily • Maintain and organize all sample racks and label samples accordingly • Create and maintain monthly line sheets • Set up swatch and print packages • Create CADs/Tech Packs/Construction Detail Pages/set up and maintain BOMs • Check in samples and blocks into Product Consoles • Accurately take notes for Designer in meetings • Complete ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management
