Social Community Manager
Job Location: San Francisco, California
Job Description
• Actively engage with our community on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. • Foster a sense of community and belonging among followers and the growing community of potential new followers. • Act as the brand’s voice and ensure consistent communication across all social media channels. • Build and maintain relationships with influencers in the book space and brand advocates. • Understand our space in social media and within our app to grow our community across the Galatea brand and social channels. • Track and report on key social media metrics using analytics tools. • Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data to improve engagement and reach. • Conduct regular competitor analysis to stay informed on industry trends. • Plan and execute online and offline community events, such as webinars, live chats, and meetups. • Promote events through social media channels and engage the community in event participation. • Taking cross-platform learnings back to the Creative Team to develop and improve our organic and paid strategy. • Stay on top of company trends and competitors' strategy; find the next best platform to grow a strong community within. • Manage Admins across platforms to improve on the feedback loop when it comes to customer needs and complaints.
Qualifications
• 1+ years of experience in community management, community growth or social media management • Experience with PR and brand communications • A passion for learning and creativity in the workspace and the innate ability to adapt and improve. • Creative thinker with a passion for social media and community building. • Positive attitude, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices. • Proficient in social media management tools (e.g, Sprout Social). • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
