Social Media Specialist
Job Location: San Francisco, California
Job Description
• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals across platforms by working in tandem with the rest of the social team. • Identify target audiences and create strategies to effectively engage them. • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written, and audio) across social media platforms. • Work closely with the creative team to brainstorm out of the box, groundbreaking ideas for social and guerilla marketing endeavors. • Ensure content is on-brand, consistent in style and quality, and optimized for each platform. • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute social media campaigns for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and beyond. • Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster conversations to build a community around the brand. Work with the community manager to develop strong relationships across audiences spanning multi-platforms. • Monitor social media channels for customer feedback and respond in a timely manner. • Address any issues or crises that arise on social media, maintaining the brand’s reputation. • Track and analyze social media performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns. Iterate and adapt with the social team. • Provide regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement. • Utilize tools like Sprout Social, Facebook Insights, and other social media analytics tools to grow and adapt social strategy over time. • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices. • Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and differentiation. • Work closely with other departments, such as PR, sales, and customer service, to ensure cohesive messaging and branding. • Coordinate with the community manager to work closely with influencers and brand ambassadors to amplify the brand’s reach.
Qualifications
• Creativity: Strong creative skills with a portfolio of content that demonstrates originality, innovation, and engagement. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using social media platforms, content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.), video editing software, and copyrighting. Understanding of social media metrics. • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting compelling and relatable content. • Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to changing trends and platform updates. • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
