Director of Accounting

Job Description

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the accounting function including the close process, financial reporting, tax and payroll • Oversee the procure-to-pay and order-to-cash process • Analyze revenue, cost of sales, and other technical areas for proper accounting and alignment to ASC606 • Provide guidance on complex revenue related transactions or new product launches • Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules • Assist with accruals, fixed assets, prepaids, and other close areas • Prepare supporting documents for audit and quarterly reviews • Evaluate and document processes and implement process improvements • Manage the year-end tax filings • Provide management monthly reporting and preparation of financials in compliance with GAAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred • Minimum 8+ years of experience, mix of public accounting and startup experience • Highly analytical with knowledge of accounting principles • Excellent organizational skills and able to handle multiple priorities within deadlines • Excellent problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Must have proficient knowledge of Excel • Passion for Anyscale and the AI/ML industry • Experience with accounting tools: NetSuite, Bill.com, Expensify, etc.
