CNC Programmer

Job Description

• Generate CNC programs using CAMWorks software for various machining operations including milling, turning, and multi-axis machining • Optimize machining processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize material waste • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and requirements for programming purposes • Perform toolpath simulations and verifications to ensure accuracy and reliability of CNC programs • Develop and maintain machining setups, tool libraries, and work instructions within CAMWorks environment • Utilize NestingWorks software to efficiently nest parts on raw material sheets for optimal material utilization • Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues, machining errors, and tooling problems as they arise • Continuously explore and implement best practices, process improvements, and advancements in CNC programming and machining technologies • Adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules to meet project deadlines

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAMWorks and NestingWorks software • Strong understanding of CNC programming principles, machining techniques, and G-code programming • Experience with CAD/CAM software, preferably SolidWorks for CAMWorks integration • Knowledge of machining materials, cutting tools, and machining strategies • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and technical specifications • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Effective communication and teamwork abilities • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred • A degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is advantageous
