Senior Associate, Strategic Investments Group

Job Description

• The Senior Associate will work on the Funds & Advisory team within the Strategic Investments Group • The Senior Associate will assist with all aspects of the impact investment process, including pipeline sourcing, financial analysis and modeling, due diligence, investment memorandum preparation, presentation to the relevant governance committee(s), legal documentation, transaction execution and funding • The Senior Associate will also assist with the broader advisory function, ongoing fund portfolio monitoring and reporting and research-based evaluation and program design associated with the launch of new impact investment tools

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree • 3 to 5 years of transactional experience in relevant field (e.g., impact investing, investment banking, private equity, real estate finance) • Financially adept, with proven experience with financial modeling, company underwriting and/or valuation and bespoke quantitative analysis • Proficiency using spreadsheet and presentation applications, including Excel and PowerPoint • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including public speaking and engagement with external stakeholders • Keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing needs and opportunities • Deep interest in NYC, public policy, and public-private partnerships • Highly analytical with an instinct for strategic thinking and creative problem solving • Execution oriented, ensuring efficient completion of tasks and projects • Self-starter, independent with ability to work in a team-based environment • NYC residency is required within 180 days of hire
