Research Analyst

Job Description

• Serving as a technical analyst for domestic U.S. projects related to policies and regulations affecting public health, worker safety and health, and the environment • Working with large data sets (e.g., performing data cleaning, merging, matching, visualization, etc.) using R, Python, SAS, or other statistical analysis tools • Conducting technical literature reviews • Supporting mid- and senior-level staff in analyzing benefits, costs, and impacts of regulations, policies, and programs • Supporting mid- and senior-level staff in conducting evaluations of public health and environmental programs using standard and innovative quantitative and/or qualitative methods and techniques • Supporting primary data collection efforts, which include field and web surveys, interviews, and focus groups • Preparing sections of project reports, memoranda, quantitative models, and presentations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematical Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related degree • Good proficiency in R, Python, SAS, or STATA for data analysis and predictive analytics • Ability to conduct technical analyses, both quantitative and qualitative in nature • Ability to manage deadlines effectively across multiple projects • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate analyses and findings to various stakeholders in non-technical language • Excellent time management and organizational skills • Proficiency in MS Office Applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Teams
