Associate General Counsel, Transactions

Job Description

• Provide legal and strategic advice for Global Atlantic’s insurance transactional business • Work directly with the Institutional Markets business team • Advise on structuring capital vehicles and developing capital solutions • Lead corporate legal transactions including M&A and joint ventures • Draft a wide range of transaction documents and supervise outside counsel • Present to and advise on corporate law to boards of directors and committees • Oversee and manage legal support staff

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree (JD) • 6+ years of experience in law, with at least 4+ years at a law firm • Experience with life/annuity insurance industry • Familiarity with the Model Holding Company Act and insurance regulations • Deep knowledge of corporate governance best practices • Experience with the Securities Act, Investment Company Act, and cross-border large capital raises • Superior negotiation and drafting skills • Ability to work with a geographically dispersed team • Ability to work effectively on multiple initiatives concurrently
