Salary: $368,000 - $417,000 a year

Job Description

• The General Counsel for Figure Technology Solutions and its subsidiaries, affiliates and successors (the “Company”), will be responsible for legal affairs and regulatory compliance for the Company and will lead it through its eventual IPO. • This is a senior executive position with key influence over the most important strategic decisions within the Company including capital, regulatory and product strategy across the Company’s core HELOC product as well its product suite and business model expansion. • The General Counsel will lead collaboratively and cross functionally and partner with key stakeholders across the Company.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of combined, preferably at both a law firm and a mortgage lending company or government agency • J.D. and membership with at least one state bar in good standing • Strong project-management skills, with a proven ability to coordinate across departments and functions • Strong entrepreneurialism, work ethic and hands-on approach • Ability to address challenging issues while remaining objective and independent • Ability to build technical processes and work with product teams to provide compliance related requirements • Demonstrated knowledge and application of consumer finance laws and regulations such as TILA/Regulation Z, ECOA/Regulation B, FCRA, FACTA, FDCPA, SCRA, BSA/AML, EFTA, UDAAP, and GLBA – HMDA a plus • Proven ability to take a project from start to finish • Ability to handle several projects at once while staying organized, detail oriented and diligent • Strong communication skills - ability to articulate verbally and in writing, plans, processes, policies and issues to stakeholders • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment • Public company experience is preferred
