Staff Data Platform Engineer

Job Description

• Lead the design, deployment and maintenance of data infrastructure • Develop and maintain data pipelines • Establish standards for data infrastructure • Partner with other teams for automation and solutions • Advise on data and software engineering best practices • Monitor and optimize third party SaaS applications

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience as a data engineer, platform engineer, site reliability engineer, or other software professional • Strong command of python and SQL • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Pulumi or Terraform • Experience with streaming platforms like Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, and Spark Streaming • Experience with container orchestration tools, ideally AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) or Elastic Container Service (ECS) • Curiosity, creativity, and tenacity when it comes to problem solving • Experience with SCADA and/or MES systems highly desirable but not required
