Business Development Manager
Job Location: San Francisco, California
Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 a year
Job Description
• As a Business Development Associate at Crusoe, you will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with prospective clients, and contributing significantly to our growth strategy. This role requires a dynamic individual who can blend technical knowledge with strategic business acumen to deliver outstanding results. • Ability to contribute to annual and long-term strategic planning cycles for the BDM position. • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the cloud technology and energy sectors. • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new trends, opportunities, and potential partnerships in the cloud computing space. • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry professionals. • Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment with market needs and company goals. • Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, and contracts for prospective clients. • Negotiate and close multimillion dollar deals, ensuring optimal terms for both the company and clients. • Track and report on key metrics related to business development activities and outcomes. • Stay abreast of industry developments, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to inform strategic decisions. • Represent Crusoe Energy at industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings, effectively communicating our value proposition and building meaningful connections.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within the cloud computing or tech industry • Proven track record of identifying and closing business deals • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for a business audience • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and written skills • Demonstrated ability to proactively engage and manage relationships with the C-suite at enterprises and well funded startups • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment • Familiarity with CRM software and Google Workspace • Familiarity with cloud technologies and their applications within the energy industry • Highly motivated, goal-oriented individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team • Willingness to travel as required • Embody the Company values
