Mechanical Design Engineer II

Job Description

• Design, prototype, and test thermal management and air delivery systems • Participate in component integration events and fabrication of prototypes • Support vendor engagements and collaborate for high-volume production • Collaborate with Battery Products team on fluid and gas handling systems • Ensure safety in new laboratory processes and participate in systems validation

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Bachelor's with 1 - 3 years of industry experience in mechanical design with thermal systems • Proficiency in CAD with mechanical design in airflow system components (exhaust, fan, ducting) • Experience with the design of sheet metal parts and manufacturing processes • Knowledge of FEA analysis for brackets, sheet metal assemblies, and ducts • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
