Corporate Tax Manager

Job Description

• Lead the development and implementation of strategic tax planning for all federal, state, and local taxes, as well as sales and use taxes across multiple states • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, filing requirements, and deadlines, minimizing tax liabilities and maximizing compliance • Manage and coordinate tax audits and inquiries by governmental agencies • Oversee the preparation of tax returns, quarterly and annual tax reports, and other required documents • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and that tax implications are properly accounted for in financial statements • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the potential impact to management, and adjust strategies accordingly • Provide tax insights on business contracts, M&A, and other corporate activities • Develop and implement internal policies and procedures for tax compliance • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and consultants to ensure efficient and effective tax strategies and compliance • Educate and guide team members on tax-related matters and best practices

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in corporate tax, with specific experience in SaaS or technology companies • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting, with specific expertise in sales and use tax across multiple states • Demonstrable experience with NOL considerations and Section 382 analysis • Proven experience in R&D tax credit identification and documentation • Proven ability to manage multi-state tax compliance and strategy • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
