Software Engineering Manager (Fullstack)

Job Description

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment between engineering plans, scope, requirements, and business needs • Guide and mentor engineers on your team to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects • Manage engineering resources to ensure timely delivery of software features • Monitor and review code quality, testing, and performance metrics • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation • Create technical documentation for engineering projects (e.g., React Component designs, API design) • Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues • Research and assess new technologies and trends to determine the best solution for the business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or relevant experience in software engineering • Experience as an Engineering Manager or Team Lead • Prior experience as a software engineer working in a collaborative environment • Empathetic leadership and the ability to encourage a culture of safety, trust, and transparency • The verbal skills to spark debate, solicit input, and share ideas in verbal and written forms • Experience developing a culture of continuous learning and improvement • Working knowledge of modern development practices • Demonstrable knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software architecture • Familiarity with scalability, security, and performance best practices
