Director, Business Development
Job Location: Manhattan, New York
Job Description
• Be a part of the fastest-growing business in the art market • Responsible for leading a team of Art Specialists in sourcing artwork • Execute a comprehensive client management strategy • Provide continuous training and mentorship to the team • Set, review, and exceed team KPIs • Improve processes and workflows to optimize team efficiency • Focus on efficiently onboarding new hires and enhancing their sales acumen
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years leading a sales or business development team • Experience with sales management roles for high-value consumer products/services (e.g., yachts, jets, luxury goods, real estate, wealth management, insurance) or catering to high-net-worth clients • Direct art market experience is not required, but familiarity with and passion for the industry and Contemporary art is a big plus • Experience in negotiation and deal structuring. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills. • Ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve ambitious goals. • Proven leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. • Strong familiarity with CRM and task management systems – Hubspot, Clickup, Monday, Asana, Airtable, etc. • Fast learner with excellent verbal and written communication skills • Meticulous attention to detail • Need to be in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
