Director, Mechanical Engineering

Job Description

• Ability to drive concepts into prototype and then mature the design to production • You will lead a group of experts in mechanical engineers to prepare and present PDR and CDR to progress designs quickly through the engineering design process • You are the team leader that can build and manage teams that will deliver innovative products • Manage a wide variety of stakeholders while leading process definition for your team • Create career development plans, manage performance, create performance reviews • Provide team guidance, regular feedback, education, coaching and mentoring

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace engineering, or equivalent • 8+ years experience in product design or mechanical system development • 5+ years experience managing engineering teams through product development cycles • Has electro-mechanical actuation/mechatronics experience • Has worked with avionics and control electronic enclosures as well as pilot inceptor. • Experience working independently and managing priorities • Experience developing electro-mechanical systems
