Assistant Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis
Job Location: Manhattan, New York
Salary: $90,000 - $93,000 a year
Job Description
• The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) plays a critical role in assisting the SVP of FP&A to manage the coordination, development, presentation, and maintenance of the corporation’s financial position and forward-looking Financial Plan • The AVP will regularly coordinate with senior management to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely financial projections • The AVP will also assist with the budgeting of all internally funded corporate projects and processes, guide projects from conception to implementation, navigate internal and external review processes, and help to manage department operating budgets • The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, communication skills, organizational prowess, and a robust understanding of corporate finance
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics • At least 3 years of experience in budgetary planning or management, financial analysis, financial modeling and mulit-year projections • At least 6 years of work experience • Demonstrated communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation • Problem solving, especially with innovative and creative solutions • Demonstrated ability to handle competing priorities and promptly respond to requests for information • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills; strong quantitative skills and comfort building financial models • Ability to understand the big picture and being detail-oriented • Comfort interfacing with senior officials and management • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • Experience with Concur payment application and Microsoft Great Plaines (GP), MRI applications or other general ledger systems is a plus • New York City residency is required within 180 days of hire
