Senior DevOps Engineer, Developer Experience
Job Location: Remote
Salary: $162,500 - $216,050 a year
Job Description
• Drive implementation and maintenance of Webflow’s build system, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance • Oversee the configuration and management of multiple development environments, providing guidance to ensure consistency across teams and environments • Define and enforce development processes and best practices to improve efficiency and quality throughout the software development lifecycle • Spearhead the deployment strategy for production environments, implementing robust rollback mechanisms and monitoring solutions • Mentor junior members of the DevOps team, fostering their growth and knowledge in DevOps principles and technologies • Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize application performance and resource utilization in production environments • Stay current with emerging DevOps trends and technologies, evaluating and implementing new tools to enhance the development workflow • Participate in engineering citizenship activities such as co-authoring engineering blogs, strengthening and improving our hiring processes, and leading internal hackathon teams
Qualifications
• Have a proven track record of successfully deploying and managing large-scale Node.js applications in production environments, utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services • Possess a deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and best practices for building resilient, scalable, and secure applications on AWS • Excel in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines tailored for Node.js projects, integrating automated testing and deployment processes • Enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to architect and implement solutions that meet business requirements while leveraging modern DevOps practices • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, where you can apply your expertise to drive continuous improvement and innovation in the development and deployment workflows • Are passionate about sharing your knowledge and mentoring team members to foster a culture of learning and excellence within the DevOps team • Possess a proactive mindset, always seeking opportunities to optimize processes, enhance system reliability, and improve the overall efficiency of the development and deployment lifecycle • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in DevOps, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, continuously expanding your skill set to adapt to evolving industry landscapes • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Pulumi for managing cloud resources • Have excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, providing support and guidance on DevOps practices
