Vice President, Legal & Crisis

Job Description

• BerlinRosen is seeking an experienced communications strategist to join us as a Vice President • In this role, you will counsel clients across our practice through comprehensive communications strategies that advance client goals, mentor and manage junior staff and actively engage in business development • A key focus of this role will be working with many of the nation’s (and the world’s) largest law firms • Part of this work will revolve around helping firms profile-build across key practice areas and for key attorneys; part will be supporting law firms’ representation of their own clients in matters that have a reputational component in addition to a legal one

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in strategic communications in relevant spaces (legal affairs, crisis communications, law firms); PR agency and/or law firm marketing department experience preferred • Thoughtful people management skills with experience leading diverse and inclusive teams and the ability to support professional growth through individualized techniques • Creative problem-solving approach to strategies with an eye for each client’s unique history and goals. Each client has a specific history and goal, your strategies take their uniqueness into consideration • Exceptional client-service skills that makes each client feel like they’re your highest priority • Strong written and oral communications skills with impeccable editing eyes and can skillfully adapt your presentation style depending on your audience • Expert multi-tasker with the ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to details
