Manager, Insurance Finance
Job Location: Manhattan, New York
Salary: $130,000 - $140,000 a year
Job Description
• Drive automation, transparency, and efficiency within insurance finance team • Responsible for insurance accounting and reporting • Bridge between Finance and FP&A teams • Help in building processes and controls in accounting and financial reporting • Ensure timely completion of accounting close cycles • Maintain workpapers and ensure compliance • Partner with various teams on financial advice and reporting • Develop efficient accounting practices and controls • Enhance monthly close process through automation • Maintain internal controls and support special projects • Ensure accounting compliance and recommend new procedures
Qualifications
• B.S. in Accounting or Finance • 6+ years experience in P&C accounting • 2+ years leading and managing a team • CPA preferred • Practical knowledge of US Statutory accounting • Experience in system solutions • Workday ERP system experience preferred • Advanced Excel skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a hybrid environment 3 days per week
