HR Operations Specialist
Job Location: Bay Area, California
Salary: $100,000 - $145,000 a year
Job Description
• Serve as the main point of contact for employee questions and concerns and provide information about policies, systems, tools, working conditions, wages, and employee benefits • Establish and maintain department records and reports; recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual efficiency, accuracy, and automation improvements • Resolve any administrative issues for employees, working with our PEO as appropriate and being the lead administrator of our HRIS (Prism) • Support our in-house recruitment team and lead on new hire pre-onboarding and onboarding, ensuring hiring managers are providing the best possible onboarding experience • Ensure compliance with US wage and hour laws, data privacy laws, and state regulations • Working with external advisers, manage all aspects of Lunar’s U.S. immigration program and serve as the internal point of contact for U.S. immigration issues— develop policies, processes, and procedures for the U.S. immigration program and assist candidates and employees in connection with U.S. immigration requirements • Manage open enrollment and benefits administration— perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, invoice approval, and annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness • Develop and maintain affirmative action program: file EEO-1 annually, maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations • Provide support on employee issues for our exempt and nonexempt employees, support resolution of interpersonal issues and advising on handbook policy, advise on our various leave policies including flexible PTO • Administering terminations and employee offboarding, updating our systems as appropriate
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree with SHRM or HRCI certification credentials • A minimum of three years of related HR experience • Thorough knowledge of federal/local regulations related to HR • Understanding and working practice of all immigration laws, procedures and deadlines, particularly those related to H-1b, J-1, OPT, PERM, TN, and I-9 compliance • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop a high degree of personal credibility at all levels of the organization • Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills • An ability to handle sensitive and critical information, conversations/situations with expertise and discretion • High attention to detail • Exceptional project and personnel management skills • Excellent ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment • Exhibit discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our senior management team
