Executive Vice President, Financial Communications
Job Location: Manhattan, New York
Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 a year
Job Description
• Drive an integrated communications approach for clients across owned, earned, paid media and other channels and drive overall cross-functional collaboration inside the team and across the firm • Drive business growth of a financial services team and the firm as a whole, using an entrepreneurial spirit to expand a growing number of clients into a full service practice. • Leverage your high-level reporter and editor contacts at the Journal, FT, New York Times, Bloomberg and others on behalf of clients • Manage our financial communications work and ensure the team is organized, aligned and motivated to achieve revenue, profitability and efficiency goals. Support a strong team culture, with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion • Serve as a senior leader in the practice and the firm as a whole, increasing the agency’s strategic communications and digital fluency and capabilities • Understand capabilities and skill sets of team members, foster and manage opportunities for professional growth and identify needs for additional firm or practice-wide trainings • Evaluate and stay on top of industry trends and leverage audience-first channel strategies • Measure ROI for projects or clients, streamlining approaches as needed to ensure we are investing in the appropriate tools and resources
Qualifications
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in communications, including deep expertise in the financial services industry, including investor relations, private equity, fintech, and/or asset management • A track record of business origination, effective sales, client development and a deep network to leverage for future business development and partnerships • Have an established list of contacts at leading media outlets • Experience and understanding of the agency business model(s), including strong client management experience; experience at an earned/traditional media agency is a plus • Extensive experience managing a team and aligning staff around company goals and priorities • Direct team management experience, and a commitment to staff development, professional growth and mobility and building a diverse and inclusive team • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively to internal and external audiences • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
