Principal Analytics Engineer

Job Description

• Mentor a team of Analytics Engineers - the glue between analytics and data engineering • Build performant, scalable, and extensible data models • Build and deliver clean, transformed, and analytics-ready data sets • Develop and maintain a Data Observability framework • Facilitate projects and ad-hoc data pulls with Data Engineers • Establish and maintain best practices to coding formats, naming conventions, and version control • Create and maintain dashboards that serve teams across the organization • Oversee project statuses and ensure smooth communications between stakeholders and project assignees

Qualifications

• BS in a technical or quantitative field • 6 - 10 years of work experience in analytical/quantitative roles • Expertise with SQL and Python • Strong experience in architecting data applications • Expert in Data modeling techniques like Dimensional Modeling, OBT, etc. • Willing to research and learn completely new technologies and tools such as API and Dashboarding tools • Experience with ETL process using SQL or Python • Experience with at least one data orchestration tool e.g. DBT, Airflow, Prefect, etc. • Experience with dashboarding tool, complex outputs in any of the following: Power BI, TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau • Experience with Redshift • Bonus points: Knowledge of the YouTube or Content Creator industry • Experience with Data platforms e.g. Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.
