Scrum Master

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in project management to guide and support our agile development teams. This role will not only ensure adherence to Scrum principles and best practices but will also oversee multiple projects, ensuring that they align with organizational objectives and deliver on time and within scope. • This is an exciting time for Octaura as we are rapidly growing and are looking for energetic, collaborative and driven thinkers to join us! Please note this role is based out of our NYC office and our current structure is 4 days in the office (Monday-Thursday), 1 day (Friday) from home.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field. • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, Professional Scrum Master (PSM) from Scrum.org, or equivalent certifications. • Prior experience in a Scrum Master role for 5- 7 years managing multiple scrum teams and priorities/projects. • Experience in facilitating Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc.). • Familiarity with agile methodologies beyond Scrum, like Kanban or XP, can be a plus. • Empathetic and connected leadership style coupled with a continuous improvement mindset. • Proactiveness in identifying and removing impediments. • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, from team members to executives, and effectively communicate the Scrum process and its benefits. • Expertise with agile tools such as Jira. • Knowledge of modern software development practices and procedures. • Fixed income or Fintech experience is a plus.
