Job Description
• KBRA (KBRA Holdings, LLC) is seeking an engaged and proactive Staff Software Engineer-Full Stack to work on our financial analytical system. We want someone who loves solving difficult problems, digs deeply to understand the domain in which they’re working and is able to create high quality software in a collaborative environment. • Our engineering team is a highly collaborative unit that is responsible for creating the web application and backend API for our financial analytics platform. Working with our product team, the team builds toward the vision of delivering a high quality and efficient user interface for our analytics customers. We are growing in this space and looking to best our competitors through improved technology and user experience. • This role involves joining an existing team that is building toward the product vision. This team operates collaboratively and there is an expectation to get involved in all aspects of design, delivery, and support of the Systems. The role is focused around working with the entire team to add new, and enhance existing, product features. We also expect an eye for technical quality that continues to improve as the product matures. • This role will require an emphasis on collaboration with our existing teams to learn our domain and its unique challenges, while providing value to the customer. It also requires collaboration with our other KBRA engineering, design, product, and platform teams to develop, build, run, and support the system architecture.
Qualifications
• Eight (8) or more years of experience architecting and developing complex, networked software applications, API’s, and user experiences • Front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS) • Building React components and applications, with state management. • Front-end testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright/Cypress/Selenium) • QA testing and peer reviewing code. • Developing against existing REST and/or GraphQL APIs, consulting with other engineers to define appropriate data contracts. • Modern tools and best practices for fetching data (Apollo, React Query, SWR, etc.) to build robust, responsive UI’s around data, including issues with latency, caching, and error handling • Strong programming fundamentals (OOP, SOLID, etc.) • Debugging, issue resolution, and troubleshooting
