Technical Compliance Manager

Job Description

• Create, maintain, and assess compliance programs to ensure alignment with global privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and others. • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate compliance risks to keep the company ahead of regulatory changes. • Develop and update internal policies related to privacy and data protection. • Conduct training sessions for employees to promote widespread understanding and adherence. • Monitor compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regularly. • Prepare and present clear reports for senior management to aid in decision-making processes. • Collaborate closely with various departments, including Legal, Engineering, and IT, to ensure compliance measures are integrated across the company.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional certifications (CRISC, CGEIT) are a plus. • A minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, legal, or a related field, with a strong focus on privacy laws and data protection. • A solid understanding of computer science principles, cloud (AWS), and general IT systems to effectively communicate with technical teams and manage compliance from a technological perspective. • Familiarity with global privacy laws, including but not limited to GDPR and CCPA. CIPM/CIPT certification is a plus. • Experience using a compliance management system such as Vanta.
