End-User Support Specialist
Job Location: San Francisco, California
Salary: $70,000 - $130,000 a year
Job Description
• Providing end-user and application support. • Offering basic support for servers and networking. • Communicating issues, progress, and resolutions to users, and escalating technical problems when necessary. • Actively creating and updating documentation. • Timely escalation and communication of issues. • Continuously developing knowledge and skills
Qualifications
• A demonstrated passion for, or commitment to, the mission • Passion for IT, computers, and mobile technology • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and Mac OS • Experience with Microsoft Office troubleshooting • Understanding of basic networking, including WAN/LAN, switches, routers, and WiFi • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, recognizing when escalation is necessary • Prior experience in a technical end-user support role • Expertise in supporting and continuously learning the evolving Microsoft 365 suite of products • Strong technical skills including managing Active Directory accounts, groups, and permissions; administering Microsoft Exchange and Azure Active Directory; utilizing MDM technologies; installing, configuring, and managing print queues and basic network troubleshooting; implementing Microsoft Intune/Autopilot • Experience in the financial services sector is advantageous • Microsoft certification is a plus • Ability to organize time and prioritize tasks independently • Unimpeachable integrity and glowing references • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy, intuition, listening, strong writing, editing, and basic design skills • High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challenges • Intellectual agility, curiosity, and creativity; problem-solving as the default mode • Entrepreneurial spirit: flexibility, comfort with risk, recognition that 'perfect can be the enemy of the good'
