Senior Field Test Engineer

Job Description

• Embedded within the Systems product development organization • Creative problem solving, data analysis, and collaboration with design engineers • Opportunity to contribute to the development of a new product in clean technology • Support the development of Form Energy’s battery system • Install, commission, test, and troubleshoot prototypes • Develop and execute a test program aligned with product verification goals • Collaborate with design engineers on test procedures and metrics • Maintain documentation of test goals, procedures, and outcomes • Analyze data from tests and communicate findings • Establish standard processes for commissioning, diagnostics, and maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar • 5+ years experience with field applications of power systems • Experience with communications protocols like Modbus TCP, DNP3, MQTT • Experience leading root cause analysis for electrical systems • Trained in high-voltage risk assessment and safety protocols • Experience with data management, analysis, and visualization software such as Python or MATLAB • Ability to set daily work priorities independently
