Deputy General Counsel

Job Description

• Lead and mentor the legal team, fostering an environment of growth and professional development • Develop and implement comprehensive legal strategies to support Sidecar Health’s objectives and operational needs • Serve as a strategic advisor to the leadership team and board, guiding critical decision-making across legal domains including state and federal regulatory requirements and filings, litigation, employment law, compliance, enterprise risk management, and more • Design and oversee compliance programs across various regulatory landscapes, with a focus on insurance law, data protection, privacy laws, employment regulations, and corporate compliance • Manage litigation, external counsel relationships, and dispute settlements with strategic foresight • Provide legal support for corporate governance, M&A, and corporate finance matters, directly or through management of outside counsel

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active Bar membership • Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with at least 6 years in healthcare-related regulatory matters • Proven leadership experience in managing legal teams • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance regulations and industry standards • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
