Senior Director, Private Sales

Salary: $1,000,000 - $50,000,000 a year

Job Description

• Develop and manage relationships with collectors, dealers, art advisors, and auction specialists • Lead primary client coverage on a group of elite and emerging collectors • Attend art fairs, collector dinners, and exhibitions to generate new business • Proactively generate new sales opportunities • Collaborate with various departments to help with sales strategies

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a specialist role at a leading gallery or auction house or as an independent dealer • Expertise in Post-War and Contemporary Art at $1mm+ price points • Experience with negotiations and ability to multitask • Team player, proactive, highly organized, and attentive to detail • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Fluency in at least one other language is preferred • Ability to travel (local and international) • Must be eligible for full-time US work - no exceptions • Must be able to work from our NY office - not a remote role
