Manager, SOX Compliance
Job Location: Remote
Salary: $140,000 a year
Job Description
• Maintain documentation of internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with SOX regulations. • Coordinate with external consultants and external auditors to facilitate SOX audits and reviews. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of new business initiatives on SOX compliance. • Provide training and guidance to employees on SOX requirements and compliance procedures. • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of SOX controls to senior management and stakeholders. • Serve as the primary point of contact for SOX-related inquiries and issues, resolving them in a timely manner. • Monitor changes in SOX regulations and industry best practices, ensuring timely updates to internal processes and controls. • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of SOX compliance activities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or CIA certification preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or risk management roles. • In-depth understanding of SOX regulations and requirements, including Sections 302 and 404. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex business processes and identify control gaps. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance. • Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical conduct and confidentiality
