Chief of Staff to CFO

Job Description

• Lead complex, strategic cross-functional initiatives, proactively taking ownership of emerging opportunities and challenges (i.e., strategic planning, special projects), including investigating root causes of departmental challenges, connecting teams to solve them • Work across teams to manage business rhythm for CFO (team meetings, operating cadence, prioritizing and delegating work-streams etc.) • Act as a strategic counsel to XFN partners on behalf of the CFO • Support daily operations and partner with Executive Admins, Internal and External Communications and Finance Leads to help manage executive calendar and create process improvements across Finance • Ensure progress on priority work-streams and ensure follow-through of critical action items, help build decision-making frameworks, deliverables, etc. • Work across teams to prepare briefings and coordinate research for meetings with partners and key leaders (e.g. identify goals and talking points, provide background on attendees, etc.) • Writing initial drafts of internal comms, or proofing and advising on content/ communication, newsletters and org communications, and presentations • Able to travel < 10% of the time

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience, ideally in consulting, investment banking, corporate tech, or investing, with significant exposure to executive audiences • Experience working directly with people at all levels, including building trusted advisor relationships with C-suite level executives and acting as a liaison between teams and leadership • Ability to analyze complex problems, break them down into manageable parts, and devise effective solutions • Experience managing multiple tasks under timelines and shifting priorities • Superior organizational skills and commitment to high-quality work product
