Title Escalation Specialist

Job Description

• Report directly to the Director of Titling • Work cross-functionally with legal, operations, and finance teams • Collaborate with outside legal partners and vendors • Measure success by rate of lien/title perfection and cycle time to obtain missing titles • Function as the subject matter expert on vehicle titling/lending documentation • Be the project manager for outstanding legal matters related to title issues • Create reporting to track progress of title issues • Partner with department leadership to establish process flows/improvements • Coordinate between various departments to resolve requests • Provide guidance on compliance issues and best practices • Develop new programs to support regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience required with Dealership or Auto finance industry • Understanding of key regulations and legal implications within the scope of the position • Ability to communicate professionally with employees at all levels, outside vendors, and state agencies • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately • Ability to research and interpret basic regulations • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines with sufficient planning and minimal supervision • Strong critical thinking skills and decision-making capabilities • Ability to adapt to changing business needs • Experience working in a Legal, Risk, or Compliance-adjacent role
