Backend Software Engineer, Identity

Job Description

• Build and maintain a world-class authentication platform • Develop next-generation identity platforms for New York Times readers • Create scalable, fault-tolerant systems • Design intuitive data schemas for user identity and accounts • Implement GraphQL resolvers and backend services • Enhance code quality through test automation and best practices

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building cloud-based distributed systems • 3+ years of experience with Go programming language • 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes/EKS • 2+ years of experience developing GraphQL APIs • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases • Experience with cloud-managed services such as DocumentDB, MongoDB, DynamoDB • Experience with DataDog, SumoLogic, dbt, Fivetran • Familiarity with Terraform and modern DevOps practices • Service-to-service authentication and communication
