Staff Technical Writer, Data Engineering

Job Description

• Develop technical content and code examples that spans the Databricks product, focusing on the needs of Databricks’ data engineering and developer customers • Create, define, and drive technical content strategies and documentation site features • Mentor and develop junior writers and peers • Inform and inspire our customers, setting standards for great technical content all-around!

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical writing experience working with cloud services • Technical writer, product manager, developer relations, or support engineering background • Demonstrated strong technical writing skills • Experience in content design and information architecture • Experience working with content analytics • Strong individual or group leadership skills and experience • Experience with data ingestion and streaming platforms and technology (ideally Spark™) • Demonstrated experience planning and delivering large cross-functional projects • 2+ years coding experience in Python or Java/Scala • DevOps experience
