Software Engineering Manager

Job Description

• Tenable is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Engineering Manager with experience in product security development that is customer-focused, and empathetic people manager to help lead their award-winning SaaS enterprise and On-Prem vulnerability management products • The role involves driving development serving a global customer base in SaaS product offering, managing teams for cloud-based projects, collaborating with Product management and Engineering leadership, mentoring engineers, and fostering a culture of positive collaboration and continual improvement

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an engineering manager in SaaS and on-prem based product development • Capacity to understand complex software architecture, specifically SaaS systems and Microservices • Experience leading projects and coaching engineers through a project’s lifecycle in an Agile environment, utilizing Scrum and/or Kanban • Comfortable dealing with changes as we respond to a rapidly changing marketplace • Ability to attract and hire great engineers, manage and mentor them and make them successful • An ability to work with a remote team and lead them to sustainable long-term success • A passion for Quality and a “Get Stuff Done” attitude that is balanced by a sense of responsibility to your customers and team • An ability to understand complex software environments and end-to-end system architecture flows (with a solid understanding of Microservices) • Experience with developing and maintaining complex applications in a fast-paced, high-growth environment • Knowledge of best practices related to legacy development, scalability and performance • Understanding of building microservices, along with their benefits and challenges • Experience in the cybersecurity space • B.S or M.S. Degree in Computer Science or a related field
