Salary: $184,800 - $231,000 a year
Job Description
• As the Director of UX Design, you will reshape the future of finance with us as we revolutionize lending products and redefine financial experiences. • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Engineering teams to translate user needs into captivating experiences. • Seamlessly blend intuitive design with cutting-edge technology to craft experiences users love. • With your technical prowess and creative genius, evaluate, measure, and track the quality of our user journeys to guide us toward unparalleled excellence in user experience. • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, collaborative, and supportive team dedicated to building delightful user experiences, interfaces, and robust solutions for the entire FTS ecosystem. • Lead, support, and mentor new-to-the-field and senior-level talent in their career growth and aspirations. • Establish a culture of user-focused design with great attention to the overall user experience across the FTS products. • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design leadership across multiple teams and projects to prioritize and deliver delightful user experiences and features to the entirety of FTS’s user base. • Drive and implement AB testing strategies and data-driven decision-making. • Conduct user research, including usability testing, interviews, and surveys, to understand user behavior and preferences. • Drive the design process to conceptualize, iterate, and implement intuitive user experiences that align with business objectives and user needs. • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design ideas and gather feedback from stakeholders and users. • Iterate on designs based on feedback, usability testing results, and data analysis to continuously improve the user experience. • Ensure consistency, coherence, and reuse across Figure’s product landscape by establishing and maintaining design guidelines, standards, and components. • Work closely with designers and developers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and efficiently. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design and fintech. • Advocate for the user throughout the product development process and champion a user-centric mindset within the organization.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related • Passion for Human-Computer Interaction and user-centric design and engineering, as well as an advanced degree in HCI or a related field, are big pluses. • 15+ years of relevant design and/or product experience in a fast-paced, agile environment; 5+ years leading user experience and design teams. • Experience in the fintech or financial services industry is beneficial but not required. • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, usability, and research best practices; experience developing UI and UX development strategies across multiple products, product types, and end-users. • Proven experience in Mobile-first accessible application design. • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar. • Demonstrated advocacy for Design Systems and shared themeable component libraries • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to effectively articulate and present design concepts and ideas. • Experience in evaluating user feedback and analytics to iterate on designs and improve user experiences. • A dynamic leader and team player with a positive attitude with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup to scale-up environment who thrives in a fast-paced start-up to scale-up environment with maximum autonomy, flexibility, and adaptability to evolving priorities.
