Director, Data Analytics

Job Description

• We are seeking a talented Director of Data and Analytics to define, implement, and drive data strategies that enable Manufacturing, Sales, Engineering, and Product at Skydio. You will build and evolve our data architecture platforms and partner with leaders and vendors at Skydio to drive Data strategy and Analytics outcomes for internal cross-functional teams. In this role, your contributions will directly drive data engineering, revenue and customer analytics, product reliability, and profitability. • Distill the business requirements in sufficient detail to allow proper design, configuration, customization, and development of data architecture including data pipelines, • Define, design, test, and implement data solutions using standard/custom-built and third-party systems. • Lead data implementation projects and deliver key artifacts including requirements documentation, data configuration, user acceptance testing, issue identification, and resolution. • Support mission-critical and business-critical data systems including Fivetran, Databricks, and DBT. • Proven ability to influence diverse groups of stakeholders, including senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor's degree • 7+ years of experience with data management, analytics, and business intelligence platforms. • Expert proficiency in SQL, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling. • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar. • Deep understanding of data analytics methodologies, including statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling. They should be proficient in using various data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. • Capable of designing and implementing complex data models and algorithms to solve business problems and provide actionable insights. • Experience in integrating data systems with Databricks and other data lakehouse systems. • Experience in building and enhancing integrated data systems through the entire lifecycle (analyze, design, build, test, implement, and support). • Experience in delivering end-to-end data solutions through the entire SDLC – right from running the workshops, design, build, test, deployment, UAT, and cutover. • Excellent understanding of data governance, data quality, and hardware product life cycles. • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with intellectual curiosity. • Excellent business partnership/understanding and ability to execute embedded business partner model. • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and pick up new skills. • Self-starter and proactive personality with a proven track record of following through and delivering on responsibilities.

Benefits

• The annual base salary range for this position is $185,000-236,000*. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
