Senior Project Manager, DG
Job Location: Manhattan, New York
Job Description
• Reporting to the Head of DG Delivery and Operations, the Sr. Project Manager (Sr. PM), DG Projects is responsible for managing projects from late-stage development and financial close through commercial operation, ensuring safe, quality, on time and on budget execution by third party EPC contractors. The Sr. PM will support constructability review for Development projects and support closeout to Final Acceptance, may manage multiple large transmission projects in construction, and will lead engineering, development, legal or finance staff supporting the projects. • Responsibilities include: - Partnering with the Development team to ensure an efficient transition of projects through the construction and financial close out stage - Supporting constructability reviews, scheduling, and indicative construction pricing requests for Development projects - Assembling RFPs and defining scope of work packages for construction activities and participate in EPC contractor selection and contract negotiation - Supporting review and analysis of EPC bids to support overall RFP negotiation
Qualifications
• Undergraduate Degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or equivalent • PMP study or similar coursework around the principles of project management • 5-15 years professional experience in a renewables or construction project management • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail, decision making/problem solving, analytical and time management skills • Proficient understanding of entire solar project lifecycle; energy storage knowledge a plus • Experience with distribution level interconnection • Preference to have experience with community solar projects • Ability to work both independently and as a part of team, knowing when to seek help • Flexibility to modify course in real-time in response to fluid facts and circumstances • Proactive and solution-focused communication skills which extend across all organizational and management levels • Exceptional ability to instill confidence as a credible, reliable and expert subject matter expert for team members in technical matters • Procore, Sales Force, SharePoint, Scheduling Software experience and proficiency preferred • Experience administering contracts • Ability to travel 25%, on average
